#BoycottChineseProducts trends on Twitter as China blocks move on Azhar

Many users uninstalled Chinese applications to express their anger.

New Delhi: As for the fourth time China blocked the bid to designate Masood Azhar as a global terrorist, #BoycottChineseProducts grabbed the top slot in Twitter's top trends.

Twitteratis urged people of India to boycott Chinese products as a mark to show patriotism and showcase zero tolerance towards terrorism.

Many users uninstalled Chinese applications to express their anger.

People also suggested that there should be a replication of global trade war and as a responsible citizen people should not purchase Chinese goods or endorse their services.

While some users released an entire list of apps and services that as a 'patriotic' citizen, one should disown with immediate effect.

The proposal to designate Azhar under the 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions Committee of the UN Security Council was moved by France, the UK and the US on February 27.

Following the Pulwama terror attack, India received global support in its bid to block Azhar, the chief of Pak-based terror group that owned the responsibility of the dastardly attack, targetting the convoy of 40 CRPF personnel.
