Netizens thrash Pawan Kalyan for anti-Telangana state remark

TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao tweeted: “Dear @PawanKalya Garu, I hope this was a misrepresentation of your thoughts.

Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is facing intense criticism on social media after he claimed that Telanganaites were beating up people of AP origin. Many feared the comments would create unnecessary differences between the people of the two states.

Netizens told Mr Kalyan not to provoke the public, as harmony between the Telugu people would be ruined forever. Some netizens recalled the allegations of assault levelled against Mr Kalyan’s family in the past.

TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao tweeted: “Dear @PawanKalya Garu, I hope this was a misrepresentation of your thoughts. As you’re aware, Telangana is home to people from 29 states who are living harmoniously since the formation of the state. I am sure you agree with me that this sort of rhetoric creates undesirable negativity.”

Mr D. Srinivasula Reddy, who hails from AP, said, “Our family is very happy and is safe in Telangana state.”
