Bengaluru: Man killed by friends over mobile game

Bengaluru: A 32-year-old man was stabbed to death by his opponent while playing a mobile phone board game in Kumaraswamy police station limits on Friday night.

The fight reportedly broke out while they were playing Ludo for money. The deceased has been identified as Shaikh Milan, a fabrication worker hailing from West Bengal, and the incident took place at Ilyas Nagar.

According to police, Milan was playing along with his friends Sohail, Ali, Asu and Nayaz at around 10 pm and had bet an amount of Rs 200.

While playing the game, Sohail rolled the dice though it was Milan's turn. An enraged Milan slapped Sohail on his face.

A fight broke out between the two and in a fit of rage, Sohail pulled out a knife from his pocket and slit his throat, and assaulted on his ear and head, leaving him profusely bleeding.

While Sohail fled the spot after the assault, his other friends and passerby rushed him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.

The Kumarswamy Layout police arrested Sohail, Nayaz, Asu and Ali. They are investigating whether his other friends, who were part of the game, were involved in the murder.

Milan had come to the city a few years ago and worked as a fabrication worker. He was living with his wife and two children in a rented house in Bendre Nagar.

Milan and his friends used to meet other frequently and played Ludo, police said.
