In a short span since he entered the industry, actor Naveen Polishetty has earned a reputation that he doesn’t take up roles unless they are meaty. Be it starring in the 2019-comedy–thriller Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya or the 2019 Bollywood super hit comedy–drama Chhichhore, the actor has remained choosy about his roles.
We have now learnt that the young actor will be seen in an enterprising role in Anushka Shetty’s forthcoming, yet-to-be-titled film, directed by P. Mahesh who directed the 2014-romcom, Ra Ra… Krishnayya.
The film’s director had apparently seen Naveen’s earlier films and was awestruck with his performance, and decided to cast him for a very interesting and vital role. The actor too was keen to come on board after listening to the script and his role.
A source conveyed to us that the film, which was recently launched, will soon go on the floors. “The director is attempting a new-genre film, and Naveen is not paired opposite anyone. Although there is Anushka in this film, both (Naveen and Anushka’s) roles are going to be independent of each other, and very intense too, which is why Naveen it picked up. Also the actor relished the opportunity to be part of such a big flick starring Anushka,” add the source.
