Shahid Kapoor, who is ready with his film Jersey and will also be making his web debut with Raj and DK’s next project, has asked filmmakers for “intelligent ideas” for commercial films.
“Recently he signed a film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, which is a remake of an international film. Shahid had seen the original film and liked it and agreed to do the film if it was adapted to the Indian context,” says a source, adding, “Ali and team are not divulging the name of the film for which they have gotthe rights.”
Besides that, Shahid is working on films like Operation Cactus and Rakeysh Mehra’s next film Karna and is in talks with top directors like Sujoy Ghosh and Shashank Khaitan for films with “new age intelligent ideas that are commercially oriented too,” say the sources.
