US: 2-yr-old's mom beats him to death for failing to get potty trained

Porcupine, South Dakota: Two women have been arrested for brutally beating a two-year-old boy to death because the toddler would not listen to them when they were trying to potty train him.

According to a report in the Mirror, a post-mortem report of the victim suggested that he suffered horrific internal injuries before his death.

The victim, Kylen Shangreaux, was beaten to death at his home in Porcupine in the US state of South Dakota.

Investigators said that the victim's scrotum had been torn which indicated that the toddler's mother had been forcing him to undergo potty training and was infuriated with his inability to do so.

Authorities also said that the victim's dead body had bite marks as well as bruises.

A petition titled 'Justice of Kylen' has been initiated on Facebook that seeks punishment for the toddler's killers and aims to protect other children facing such abuse.

The toddler's mother has been charged with first degree child abuse, child neglect and causing body harm along with murder. The victim's grandmother has also been charged with murder.
