Visakhapatnam, Dec. 23: A professor of a reputed engineering college was murdered and his body with head injuries was found by his family members on the beach road near Tenneti Park in the early hours of Wednesday.

The PM Palem police said, Mr Bogi Sai Kishore, 36, has been working in a reputed private engineering college at Kommadi and is staying in Sivaji Park area along with his wife Chaitanya Kumari. His colleague Prof. Sirisha and her husband Sai Kumar, a medical representative, stay in Pithapuram Colony.

Both the families became friends and often Sai Kishore used to visit their house with his wife. On Tuesday evening, Sai Kumar called Sai Kishore over phone to meet him at Tenneti Park. Sai Kishore had no habit of going out of his house after he returned from college.

“His wife became alarmed and went to Sirisha’s house at about 9 pm and the latter told her both went out and she had no idea where they had been. At 9.30 pm, Sai Kishore answered her call over cell phone,” circle inspector Ch Papa Rao said.

In the early hours, they began searching Tenneti Park area and found him lying flat on the sand. There was a grievous injury on the back of his head which might have killed him instantly. His cell phone was active and the motorcycle by which he came to the spot was parked on the beach road. The police found no weapons of offence.

Citing motive behind the murder, the circle inspector said it was a case of extra marital affair, which was mentioned by Chaitanya Kummari in her FIR, the CI said. He said there could be more than one person invol-ved in the murder which could be verified after arres-ting the main accused.

Sai Kumar and his wife Sirisha went missing since Tuesday night and their cell phones were also switched off. The police shifted the body to King George Hospital for post mortem.
