APTDC offers New Year treat

Vijayawada, Dec. 26: As part of the tourism promotional programme, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) will organise new year celebrations at the Berm Park on the banks of river Krishna at Punnami ghat on December 31.

A variety of entertainment and recreation programmes will be conducted for children and youth to mark the occasion. The APTDC divisional manager, Mr G. Ramakrishna, told reporters on Saturday that the corporation fixed a price of Rs 499 for adults, Rs 299 for children aged between 5 and 10 years and Rs 888 for couples.

Mr Ramakrishna said fire master Ashok, master Yasaswi, child artiste Sahiti, mimicry artistes and cine artistes will perform various programmes. He said over 800 tickets would be sold for the entertainment programmes welcoming the new year. Separate tickets will be sold to groups constituting between 25 and 40 people. He said the APTDC would conduct lucky draw and offers free accommodation for one day to the winners at the guest houses run by the corporation in Araku Valley, Rishi Valley, Nagarjunasagar and Suryalanka beach.

Dinner is offered with 25 varieties including non-vegetarian, soft drinks and 500 ml liquor is also part of the menu.
