If Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa could not hold on to his cycle on Friday during a bicycle rally organised by the BJP, it was not because of his poor riding skills. The cycle actually did not have brakes and not even a side stand!

A worried BJP chief, Mr Nitin Gadkari, rushed to New Delhi on Friday night following reports of the revolt brewing in his party. Mr Gadkari held parleys with the RSS bosses and senior leader L.K. Advani to tackle the situation.

A day after, BJP’s star MP, Mr Shatrughan Sinha, attacked the party chief, Mr Nitin Gadkari, over his new team, the Muslim face of the saffron party, Mr Shahnawaz Hussain, raised a banner of revolt and refused to attend the meeting of the spokespersons, called by the Leaders of the Opposition, Ms Sushma Swaraj, Mr Arun Jaitley and general secretary (organisation), Mr Ram Lal, on Friday.

In a major goof-up, an advertisement inserted in newspapers by the Eastern Railway showed Delhi in Pakistan and Kolkata in the Bay of Bengal, and Kajuraho where Hyderabad should be.
