Motorola to launch Moto G (4th Gen) on May 17

Motorola is expected to launch two variants of the Moto G (4th Gen) smartphone.

Mumbai: Motorola India is sending out invites for an event on May 17. Although the invite specifies no detail regarding the products to be launched, rumours around techville are that Motorola will be launching two variants of the Moto G (4th Gen) smartphone.

The Moto G and Moto G Plus smartphones are expected to feature almost similar specifications, except that, as the name suggests, the Moto G Plus sport a larger display size, along with a finger print sensor.

Other expected specifications of the anticipated smartphones are that they will be powered by a Snapdragon octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which will be expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. The smartphones will be equipped by a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera.

The smartphones will run on the latest Android Marshmallow operating system, and will be both dust and waterproof. A 3,000mAh or 3,600mAh battery is expected to juice the smartphones.
