Video: Samsung Galaxy Note 7 ad teases new features

The video is showing rotary telephones in water, which hints that the Note 7 would be water resistant.

Samsung’s next Note flagship won’t be officially unveiled until August 2. However, Samsung Korean has released an ad that tends to hint several new features of the upcoming device.

For starters, the video is showing rotary telephones in water, which hints that the Note 7 would be water resistant, the first ever waterproof phone in Samsung’s Note series.

The clip starts with someone inputting fingerprint, and then some complex patterns trying to unlock the phone, which could be considered as a hint towards iris scanner—that would make authentication easier. After that, the teaser cuts to a girl taking selfie facing a light bulb, suggesting some sort of a low-light selfie feature or probably a front-facing flash to feature in the device. In addition, the video is also showing a road sign about a curved road, hinting Samsung Note is likely to sport Edge display.

While referring to the next Note number, the clip ends with a question mark after number 5, and directly jumps to a ‘NO’ (putting a full stop to the count going in your head).

The move (sort of) confirms that the device will be called Galaxy Note 7.

Scroll down to watch the video, and let your imaginations go.
