Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) with triple camera setup goes official

The smartphone features a 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

Samsung recently launched a new range of its Galaxy J-series lineup — the Galaxy J4 Plus and the Galaxy J6 Plus. The company has now launched its latest mid-range smartphone with a triple rear camera setup. The new Galaxy A7 (2018) is the successor to last year's Galaxy A7.

The smartphone features a 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It runs on Samsung Experience UX based on Android 8.0 Oreo and is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7885 chipset clocked at 2GHz, coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage, which is expandable up to 512GB. The device is kept alive by a 3300mAh battery.

On the photography front, as mentioned, the device features a triple rear camera setup, comprising of a 24MP f/1.7 autofocus sensor, an 8MP f/2.4 ultra wide sensor, and a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor. The front camera gets a 24MP f/2.0 fixed-focus sensor assisted by an LED flash. Additionally, Samsung is also touting Dolby Atmos audio and AR Emoji features.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, NFC with Samsung Pay support and a 3.5mm headphone jack among others. Additionally, there is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It comes in three colour variants — Gold Millenial, Premium Black and Striking Blue.

The Galaxy A7 (2018) carries a price label of Rs 23,990 for the 4GB variant and Rs 28,990 for the 6GB variant. The smartphone will be available for purchase via both online and offline. The smartphone will be exclusive to Flipkart and go on its first sale on September 27.
