Samsung launches Z2 4G Tizen smartphone for Rs 4,950

Samsung Z2, the first Tizen-powered device that will run on 4G networks, will start selling in India on August 29.

South Korean tech giant Samsung on August 23, 2016, launched the Z2 Tizen-powered smartphone in India, priced at Rs 4,950.

Samsung Z2 is the first 4G-enabled model which runs on Samsung’s new Tizen operating system. The smartphone comes with a dedicated S bike mode, which is designed considering the safety concerns of two-wheeler users in India.

The Z2 smartphones sports a 4.4-inch WVGA (800x480 pixel) display, powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It offers 8GB of internal storage which can further be expanded up to 128GB using an external microSD card. In terms of camera, the smartphone sports a 15MP rear sensor with LED flash, while the front camera bears a 0.3MP sensor.

The device features VoLTE support and HD voice calling. In addition, it also offers support for LTE Cat.4 with downloads up to 150Mbps, and upload up to 50Mbps.

Z2 smartphone is powered by a 1500mAh battery, and has been claimed to deliver up to 8 hour of 4G browsing.

Moreover, Samsung Z2 comes with the Jio Preview Offer to avail free voice and data services in the trial period, allowing users to access premium Jio applications – My Jio, Jio on Demand and Jio Beats.

Samsung Z2 will be available in Black, Wine Red, and Gold Colour. The smartphone will start selling in India on August 29.
