Samsung working on Galaxy Pro series for C5/C7

The Galaxy C5 Pro will carry SM-C5010 code number, while the Galaxy C7 Pro will bear SM-C7010 code number.

Samsung is reportedly working on new iteration of its previous handsets, named Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, launched in May this year.

According to SamMobile, the new variants of Galaxy C5 and C7 will be called Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro. The report suggests that Samsung, with the launch of the models, plans to improve the features and specifications spotted in their predecessors.

The Galaxy C5 Pro will carry SM-C5010 code number, while the Galaxy C7 Pro will bear SM-C7010 code number.

To recall, the Galaxy C series phones, Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, were only made available in China, and it is yet unclear whether the new variants of the series will be released for the other markets, or not.

As per the specifications, the Galaxy C5 sports a 5.2-inch FULL HD Super AMOLED display, powered by Snapdragon 617 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB internal memory, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is packed with 2,600mAh battery.

The Galaxy C7 sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC with Andreno 506 graphics processing unit, 4GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB internal storage, expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card, 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The device also runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is packed with 3,300mAh battery.
