OnePlus 7 Pro: Caramel \'POP\' Corn!

The OnePlus 7 Pro, with its pop-up camera and an enviable set of specs, is the flagship to keep everyone happy.

Being a smartphone is no easy job. You have to please a wide variety of people: Some like to game, some like to increase their office productivity, some want you to look stylish, so they can flaunt you and these days, many want to click pictures in low light. Most devices satisfy some of these millennial demands. It takes a flagship to do all of these things right. The recently -launched OnePlus 7 Pro is a prime example of this.

Display, camera, battery, sound, performance -- not necessarily in that order -- are the five pillars of any good smartphone, and OnePlus ticks all of these boxes. The 6.67 inches screen catches your eye, with its optimum brightness, clarity and curvature. The 7 Pro claims to be the first ever smartphone to feature the fast 90 Hz refresh rate on an AMOLED screen. Coupled with HDR 10 +, the device provides an immersive and fluid content viewing experience. Taking this a step further is the Dolby Atmos and a proprietary Haptic vibrator motor which adds thump to your music besides providing immersive feedback during gaming. For hardcore gamers, the device also comes with a 'Fnatic' mode, which optimizes CPU performance, invokes liquid cooling and provides uninterrupted game-play.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is the first device from this maker to offer a triple 48 MP + 16 MP + 8MP camera setup, with an ultra wide angle lens, 3X telephoto zoom, inclusive of Nightscape 2.0, the company's own set of algorithms for sharper low-light photography. The 16 MP selfie pop-up camera is hardened for continuous use of the pop-up motor, 150 times a day for 5.5 years. With electronic image stabilization, screen flash and face unlock, the selfie camera performs well in any lighting condition.

Powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor, the OnePlus 7 Pro comes with a 4000 mAh battery with something called Warp charge 30 which isolates heat generated while charging, thereby optimizing charging speed and letting you charge while playing. The processor itself is optimized for gaming and uses AI to allocate compute resources depending on priority and heaviness of the task. Design-wise, the device is crafted well, a good mix of gloss and class, with its Gorilla glass back, though it is not the lightest device in town. Available in Mirror Grey, Nebula Blue and Almond, the OnePlus 7 Pro is priced at Rs 48,999 (6 GB + 128 GB), Rs 52, 999 (8 GB + 256 GB) and Rs 57,999 (12 GB + 256 GB).
