Samsung begins rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat on Galaxy devices

The update comes with additional features including Quick Panel and Notifications, Multi Window, Performance Mode and Samsung Pass.

Samsung on January 19 confirmed the list of Galaxy devices to receive Android 7.0 Nougat within the first half of this year, after weeks of testing.

On January 17, Samsung pushed the update to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge units, and now the company has confirmed to make it available to another set of devices under its Galaxy series.

Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and S6 edge Plus, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy Tab A with S Pen, Galaxy Tab S2 (LTE unlock), Galaxy A3, and Galaxy A8 are the following devices that will be receiving the 7.0 Nougat update within the first half of the year.

The update comes with additional features including Quick Panel and Notifications, Multi Window, Performance Mode and Samsung Pass. However, Samsung in its press release stated that the available functions, features and compatible applications for Samsung Pass may vary from country due to different regulatory and legal environments.
