Is Samsung planning for electric cars after Apple

According to rumours, Samsung purchased 4 per cent of BYD's company stakes.

There are endless number of brands introducing newer, better equipped smartphones at an increasingly fast pace. This has been dragging along to such an extent that the smartphone market seems to be coming to a saturation point. Therefore, bigger brands such as Apple and Samsung among others are looking for ways to keep their raking in cash. And this can be done by ensuring the innovation of something unique – something that is never seen before, thereby, consisting of very few competitors.

Samsung has taken to this unusual direction to make that happen. Reports suggest, Samsung is purchasing a large stake in Chinese automaker, BYD that will essentially help them boost the company’s business for electric cars and smartphones. Samsung said that the two will even discuss the possible partnerships in various other businesses.

While, the size of the stake has not yet been revealed; rumors say it is about 4 per cent of the company’s stake. The company seems to stand a profit if everything pans out as they have planned. When Samsung is busy transforming their vision into reality – Apple is devouring in its own world while designing an EV of its own.
