Micromax Canvas 2 Plus (2018) is the latest smartphone from the company. The device is the successor to the dated Canvas 2 Plus. The phone comes with features that have become common in the mainstream devices such as the18:9 display, face unlock and fingerprint sensor. The unit runs on the old Android Nougat.
The smartphone sports a 5.7-inch HD IPS display which emits 450nits of brightness. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core chipset aided by up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which is expandable via microSD card. The device has a rear fingerprint sensor. It is backed by a 4000mAh battery and comes with an 8mm thickness.
There is a 13MP rear camera sensor along with an LED flash and 80-degree wide-angle lens. The camera facilitates features such as Beauty mode, Watermark and Time Lapse. Upfront, the handset sports 8MP camera sensor that comes with Beauty mode and Portrait mode as well. The phone also supports face unlock feature.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and FM radio. The Micromax Canvas 2 Plus (2018) comes preloaded with 22 regional languages. The smartphone costs Rs 8,999 and is available in two colour variants — Jet Black and Matte Black.
