OPPO's R15 Pro brings the best features of flagships to the midrange segment
After a lengthy build-up, OPPO has finally launched the R15 Pro in India after successfully launching the R17 Pro. Unlike the R17 Pro which demanded a steep asking price, the R15 Pro is priced attractively on our shores at Rs 25,990. The handset boasts some impressive specifications such as an AI-enhanced camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, 6 gigs of RAM and a whopping 128GB of onboard storage.
At this price, OPPO has targeted the upper midrange smartphone market that’s already quite congested; however, considering OPPO’s track record in India, its sure to entice a larger audience of those wanting to upgrade their current smartphones to something that serves a lot of value for money without necessarily breaking the bank.
The OPPO R15 Pro features Qualcomm’s speedy Snapdragon 660 SoC that is equipped with a Kryo 260 CPU. The device also supports Adreno 512 GPU which increases the graphics rendering speed by 30% which results in a more fluid camera and gaming experience. The game acceleration mode optimizes the player experience in mobile games giving the user a disturbance-free experience. It is also fitted with 6GB RAM and 128 GB ROM which can be expanded to 256GB.
OPPO has made another breakthrough which will help you get a bigger and broader view. The OPPO R15 Pro is equipped with a 6.28-inch and a 19:9 full screen with ultra-wide visual field. From the moment the phone is switched on, 89% of what you see is the screen display. The OPPO R15 Pro is the first ever OPPO device which is water resistant and has a glass back surface available in Cosmic Purple and Ruby Red.
The R15 Pro comes with a new flagship sensor, the IMX519 from Sony, which has been customised by OPPO for better portrait photography. It has AI Scene Recognition technology which can also be referred to as a photography technique consultant. The smartphone has a 20MP + 16MP dual rear camera and for selfies, you get a 20MP front-facing camera with a new and unique 3D lighting technique for artistic portraits.
Lastly, the OPPO R15 Pro also supports VOOC flash charging technology, which means 5 minutes of charging resulting in 2 hours talk time and comes with a 3430mAh battery. The device is equipped with an NFC chip to make transitions more easy and convenient.
