The next-gen Android version – 9.0 Pie has already been released and Google’s devices are the first to receive them along with the Essential smartphone. While we are still waiting for others manufacturers to announce the latest software update, Vivo is the only one which clarified on the topic.
As per the information received by Android Authority, Vivo will release the Android 9.0 Pie update during the fourth quarter of this year. Well, neither the exact time has been revealed nor the first smartphone to get this update has been disclosed.
However, it’s highly likely that Vivo’s premium offering X21 will be the first smartphone to embrace this update. Perhaps, this will be followed by Vivo Nex S.
Although other companies haven’t revealed any details on the topic, we believe a majority of them will soon start releasing the update either for their new phones or on the ongoing models.
