It's final: Reliance Jio Prime to end tomorrow, here's what to expect next

Reliance Jio customers will now have to pay for the operator's services, starting April 1.

Recently, we reported that Reliance Jio may be extending the Reliance Jio Prime membership's deadline by a month. TeleAnalysis quoting a source at Jio, claimed that Reliance Jio customers subscribed to the Jio Happy New Year Offer might be able to enjoy an additional month of free services by the telecom operator.

However, it appears like no such thing will be carried out by the company. The last date for the membership’s free services remains the same, i.e. March 31. Post which, customers subscribed to Reliance Jio Prime will have to start paying for the services.

Here is what you should get figured out before your free subscription ends.

Find out which SIM you’re using

Majority of the Reliance Jio users are using prepaid SIM, however, there are many who are using a postpaid card. It is essential that you find out whether your SIM is prepaid or postpaid. Users can do that by simply logging into their MyJio app and tapping on My Plans option. Depending on this, you will either have to get your device topped up and may start receiving bills from next month onwards.

Find out which plan you’re using

There are two plans – Jio Prime and non-Jio Prime plans. Jio Prime users get access to additional plans. However, non-Jio Prime do not get the same options. Interested users can get their plan activated by the weekend in order to avail the offers.

Whether you want to stay with Reliance Jio or no

If you want to disconnect from Reliance Jio, simply stop using the SIM. The card will get deactivated after 90 days of inactivity. However, if you are postpaid customer, then you need to call customer care or visit a Jio store and ask them to disconnect your number.
