Samsung is again in news after one of its ‘Safe’ Galaxy Note 7 handsets exploded in China.
Several new reports indicated that the battery problem persists even after the company replaced the old handsets with the safe ones. Well, this has really put the pressure back on the company, albeit the costly replacement programme.
There have been other reports from users about the replaced Note 7 devices overheating and loosing battery charge quickly, even when connected to power supply.
According to The Telegraph, a tech worker by the name Hui Renjie said that his device caught fire a few days back, injuring his fingers and nearby laptop.
Samsung tried to contact him and attempted to retrieve the device but he did not give it up and wanted to publicise the issue. The South Korean giant began replacing the devices last week after the global recall was announced on September 2.
The company had assured that the ‘safe’ devices will not cause any such problems but the new development totally contradictory.
It comes as a huge blow to Samsung, and it might take a long time for them to rejuvenate its tarnished reputation.
