Android 7.0 Nougat crashes more than iOS 10

Android Nougat was released and adoption rates, unlike iOS 10, are lower due to limited roll out.

A new report released by Apteligent, a mobile application intelligence solution provider, revealed that Google latest Android 7.0 Nougat has 2.5 times more network-related crashes than iOS 10.

A network crash is caused when any app crashes due to communication difficulties with the cloud.

Not only network-related crashes but Nougat apps have also been found to 6.4 per cent of the times in comparison with iOS 10’s crahs rate of 4.1 per cent.

While Marshmallow had very less crash issues, the new Google OS seems to be setting a bitter and divergent example with the manifold crashing issues.

In its report, the mobile application intelligence firms said that Marshmallow was the most stable Android OS version it tested but Nougat has proved to be the complete ‘opposite’.

Android Nougat was released and adoption rates, unlike iOS 10, are lower due to limited roll out — just 0.2 per cent. However, the crash rates on the new Android OS have started declining and will be stabilised further in future though updates.

Going by current statistics, iOS 10 is a clear winner in terms of app stability and interactions with cloud, and overall efficiency.
