The social media giant confirmed that the lock-out was by accident.
As soon as cops showed up, a member of the TJAC started to live-stream the entire incident on Facebook a never-seen-before tactic by the TJAC.
Facebook yesterday accidentally locked a few users out of their accounts. While the first natural assumption for someone was to think that they were being hacked; however, Facebook confirmed that they were behind it.
“Earlier today an error in one of our systems designed to help prevent suspicious account access sent a small set of people to our account recovery flow unnecessarily," a Facebook spokesperson was reported by The Mashable as saying. "We have fixed the issue and are in the process of clearing the affected accounts from this recovery flow."
There are no details regarding how many accounts were locked yet but Facebook assures users that the problem will be fixed soon.
