Now keep your location as the wallpaper on your Google Pixel

Ever wanted your coordinates as the wallpaper for your Pixel smartphone? Well, now can get one thanks to Skyline — Live Wallpaper with Global 3D Terrain, an Android wallpaper app that mimics the style of Pixel live wallpaper with real locations.

The app is based on the open-source mapping platform Mapbox is developed by indie developer Justin Fincher. Once you have the app on your phone, just enter the address to get a pseudo-satellite view of that location, which can be set as the background for your smartphone.

Skyline also includes parallax scrolling and the theme colour changes based on the colour of the image. However, this is only supported in Android 8.1 Oreo only.

The app-generated wallpaper is not a real-time image of the location, but still looks neat and Fincher said more is to come from the app in future. The app is expected to feature automatic terrain changes based on current location.
Skyline Live Wallpaper With Global 3D Terrain is available for download on the Google Play Store for $1.99.
