The long-rumoured ‘Pin your favourite chats’ feature on WhatsApp has finally been released to iOS users. WhatsApp on July 17 released an updated version of the mobile application on iOS platform, allowing users to prioritise certain conversations over others. The update will let you pin three contacts and groups to the top of your WhatsApp conversation list.
“With pinned chats, you never have to worry about scrolling through the long list of conversations to text your family members or your best friend,” says WhatsApp. “Users can now pin up to three of the most important group or individual chats to the top of their chat list for easy access – simply tap and hold a chat, and then tap the pin icon at the top of your screen,” WhatsApp added.
The feature is considered as a better option than the existing ‘Mute’ feature as it help users avoid looking unwanted conversations altogether.
The feature is now available on both iOS (for WhatsApp v2.17.40) and on Android since May.
