Watch: A bowling ball and a feather fall at the same speed

British physicist Brian Cox wanted to put Galileo's theory to test himself.

Galileo first discovered that if two objects, of different mass and weight, were dropped together in a vacuum, they’d hit the ground together at the same time. The reason why we don’t witness that on earth is because here the air resistance and gravity comes into play.

However, British physicist Brian Cox wanted to put Galileo’s theory to test himself. In November 2014, he visited the NASA Space Power Facility in Ohio, which is the world’s largest vacuum chamber, and has a total volume of 22,653 cubic metres.

For his experiment, Cox used a bowling ball and feather and dropped the two from the same distance inside the chamber, and Galileo was proved right. The two hit the ground together at the same time. Watch the video below to witness this ingenuous theory.
