Of all things Blizzard

Blizzcon was the perfect occasion to announce a lot of big things for all Blizzard titles.

Blizzcon was in full blast last weekend as Blizzard fans gathered for the biggest celebration of all things Blizzard ranging from World of Warcraft to Hearthstone and Overwatch!

Blizzard took the occasion to announce a lot of big things for all their titles. World of Warcraft is getting a new expansion and vanilla servers but we’re going to focus on Overwatch, Hearthstone and Starcraft. Starcraft 2, the legendary RTS that has been around for eons is going free to play! Yes, you heard that right, players will get free access to the Wings of Liberty campaign along with the ranked competitive ladder online and the popular coop mode with all commanders at no extra cost. While this may seem like a strange decision, it’s actually great as it gives everyone a small taste of why Starcraft 2 is considered one of the best PC games of all time. For those of you that want more, you can still go ahead and purchase the Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void and Nova Covert Ops singleplayer campaigns. If you already own Wings of Liberty then don’t worry because you will get Heart of the Swarm for free. Hearthstone also got some good news with a new expansion Kobolds and Catacombs due in December. The expansion is set to introduce 125 new cards into the game along with 9 new class specific legendary weapons. Players will receive one free weapon the first time they login once the expansion has launched. The expansion will also bring with it a new singleplayer mode, Dungeon Runs. Players will start with a novice deck of a class of their choosing and face progressively difficult foes that will allow them to strengthen their deck as they go on.

Last but not the least, Overwatch fans were treated with a lot of new content, new Overwatch Short ‘Honor and Glory’ for Reinhardt. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg with the main attraction being the brand new hero Moira and Map Blizzard World. The map is a Blizzard Theme Pack that pays homage to all their franchises and is filled with tons of easter eggs.
