Xiaomi Mi TV 4A with voice control support unveiled: Specifications, price and more

The latest 40-inch Mi TV 4A comes with Xiaomi's own PatchWall OS.

Xiaomi has launched a new 40-inch TV dubbed Mi TV 4A with an Artificial Intelligence-powered voice system in China. The latest 40-inch Mi TV 4A is priced at Yuan 1699 (roughly Rs 17,500) and comes with Xiaomi’s own PatchWall OS. Additionally, Xiaomi recently launched the 55-inch 4K Mi LED TV 4 in India which comes with a price tag of Rs 39,999.

The Mi TV 4A sports an ultra-thin profile and features a 40-inch display with full HD screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The display is backlight type with 178-degree viewing angle, 60Hz refresh rate, 5000:1 static contrast ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz Amlogic L962-H8X processor clubbed with 1GB RAM/8GB of storage. It also comes with Mali 450 GPU with up to 750MHz. It has two 8W speakers with Dolby and DTS enhancements.

On the connectivity front, the new Mi TV includes Bluetooth 4.2 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, two HDMI ports, one AV port, two USB ports, Ethernet, one analog signal DTMB, and comes with Bluetooth-based voice control via the remote. Xiaomi is yet to launch the voice control feature in the remote for Mi TV in India.

Besides, after launching Mi TV 4, several reports suggest that Xiaomi might unveil a more budget-friendly Mi TV 4A in India, though it remains to be seen if this will be launched in India. Furthermore, Xiaomi is believed to launch the Mi TV 4C on March 7 in India which is already available in China. It features a full HD display, 1GB RAM/8GB of storage, a quad-core Amlogic T962 64-bit chipset, and also comes with a blue light-reducing mode.
