Microsoft drops idea of VR support on Xbox

The company had promised back in 2016 that high-end VR will be supported in the upcoming Project Scorpio, which did not happen.

If you had been waiting for a virtual reality (VR) enabled headset for the Xbox, the wait just became futile. Microsoft's chief marketing officer of gaming Mike Nichols said in an interview that the company does not have any plans for Xbox in VR or mixed reality, The Verge reported.

The company had promised back in 2016 that high-end VR will be supported in the upcoming Project Scorpio, which did not happen. It is also speculated that mixed reality content will be arriving on Xbox by the end of 2018.

Although VR may not be coming or might take longer to get infused in the Xbox, the gaming setup has been one of the most popular among youngsters across the world and still remains. The variety of games offered feature top-notch graphics and excellent controls which make spending time with Xbox an amazing gaming experience.

The Xbox 360 gaming console has been loved worldwide by the gaming enthusiasts and it still competently rivals Sony's Play Station.
