Salman comes to Atul’s rescue

After making two films as director, Atul Agnihotri is all set to turn producer with a film starring Salman Khan. Anees Bazmee has been roped in to direct the film. The project, which has been in the pipeline for quite some time was made possible only thanks to Salman.

“Salman has always supported Atul, who is married to his sister Alvira. He launched Atul as a director with Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha and also worked in Hello for him. Even after both the films bombed at the box-office, Salman urged Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, who was keen on making a film with Salman, to co-produce it with Atul. In fact, Salman said he’d agree to do the film only if Atul was roped in. The deal was soon signed and Anees has already finalised the script. The film will be an action flick on the lines of Wanted and will hit the floors later this year after Anees completes the shooting of Thank You. The leading lady is yet to be finalised and talks are on with Zarine Khan who made her debut in Veer.”
