Fashionable turnout at launch

It was an evening that was high on style at the launch of Page 3, a luxury salon in the city at The Pod. As cheerful banter filled the air, VJ Cary, the MC for the evening, took the audience through the products and services offered at the salon as models, including familiar faces like Leena, Deepika, Kenith and Niyati, sashayed down the ramp showing off their brand new hairdos to the guests present. The show stopper of the evening, former Ford Supermodel Shubra wowed the audience and had them cheering her. Another new face on the ramp at the event was the boyish Tony Luke. In between the two rounds of ramp walk, Cary engaged the guests present in a fun contest where the winners walked away with goodie bags. The final round had the models walking down the ramp accompanied by their stylists to generous rounds of applause from the audience. Philip Giles, director of L'oreal Professionel, India who was present at the show gave the audience a glimpse of what to expect at the salon. Also 22-year-old Sarvesh Raj, the force behind Page 3, had everyone’s attention with his ‘thank you’ speech and the guests broke into loud cheers when the young man personally thanked his father Shanmugavelu and invited him on stage. The evening wound up with felicitating the entire team of the salon, after which the guests bonded over cocktails while Veena and Kumaravelu played the perfect hosts. Also present at the event were Udayanidhi Stalin, Anandaroopa, Brian, Mamta, Abhishek, Harini, Anandakannan, Ramya and Vishal among others.
