Bhoopathy replaces Vikram Kumar in 24

In a dramatic turn of events, director Vikram K Kumar has been replaced by Bhoopathy Pandian in actor Chiyaan Vikram’s upcoming film.
A few months ago Vikram joined hands with Vikram Kumar of Yaavarum Nalam fame for a film tentatively titled 24.
The first shooting schedule began a few days ago in Chennai. Produced by Mohan Nadarajan, the movie had ace cinematographer P.C. Sreeram behind the camera.
Tollywood actress Ileana was signed to star opposite Vikram. According to sources, Vikram Kumar got the nod from Vikram after narrating a one liner about eight months ago. But he then failed to show up with a full script. Despite time given to him by the producer and actor, he did not come up with a clear storyline.
Realising that big money was being pumped in and instead of wasting the dates of a busy actor like Vikram, the producer dumped the earlier project and swiftly brought in director Bhoopathy Pandian after narrating a fresh script to Vikram, insiders reveal.
Pleased with the new narrative, the actor gave the go-ahead. The new untitled project will go on the floors from April. Ileana has been retained in the new project.
