Campaign on media literacy

Dept of Communication, Madras Christian College is hoisitng a campaign on media literacy at various colleges in the city.

The campaign will be inaugurated on tuesday by Public Relations Society of India, Chennai Chapter vice-president (south) R.K. Dharan at the Centre for Media Studies, MCC.

The campaign 'M-Book' will continue till 7 October. 'M-Book' is about spreading awareness about media literacy amongst the student community from all disciplines - media and non-media.

Various reputed colleges across the city will see renowned personalities from various fields like photography, public relations, advertising, corporate communications, television production and videography enlightening the students.

On 28 September, senior corporate manager of TVS, Madhavan, will speak about Corporate Communications at Kumararani Meena Muthaiah College of Arts and Science at Adyar.

On 29 September, assistant director (Endhiran), Atlee Kumar, will speak about Direction and Cinematography at Asan Memorial College at Velachery.

On 30 September, executive producer of Vijay TV, Vishnu Kumar, will speak about Television Production, Photography and Videography at Hindustan College of Arts and Science at Padur.

The valedictory function will be on 7 October at the college and will be presided by Satyan C. Bhatt, managing director, Prism Public Relations Private Limited.
