Make your own robots

The Academic Club of the Methodist College of Engineering & Technology conducted a three-day workshop on Electro-Mechanics, in association with Insignia Labs, Bengaluru. The emphasis of the workshop was on how campus based activities can promote academic success, career development, fellowship and community service among students. At the end of the workshop, the students were able to make their own robots. Ashwin, a student of the mechanical branch at the college, said, “The workshop was a great learning experience; we got to know about different electronics and mechanical components and circuits. We are expecting many more workshops like this.”

Himanshu, another student, added, “I had a mind-blowing experience at the electro-mechanics workshop, as we had practical experience with the complex circuits. The best part will be designing our own robots and having a race between all the robots. I am eagerly waiting for this race.” Amruth Reddy, also a student at the Methodist College, said, “I really enjoyed the experience and learned many things that will be useful for my future. This workshop is very useful to students of electronics. I am excited about tomorrow’s race in which we are going to design our own cars.”
