Arthashastra, well received

The tenth St Francis College Fest Arthashastra, was an extravagant event with music, a DJ, a live performance by a local band and most of all, it was an event that brought the entire city’s youth under one roof. More than 12,000 youngsters from various colleges took part in one of the most popular college fests in the city.

Sharon Shreya, a student of St George’s college, says, “The event was very well organised, it was a great place to meet and interact with students of various colleges.” The Rs 5 lakh budget for the fest was raised by the students themselves through donations and sponsors. Some of the highlights of the fest were the charts, and wall hangings which were made by the students and attracted a lot of attention.

Himani Singh, a student of Villa Marie, said, “I think the fest was one o the best events in the city so far. Though it was St Francis College’s fest, I think the whole of Hyderabad celebrated it.” Talking about the event, the college Principal, Sister Alphonso Vattoly, said, “We are very proud of the students who put in a lot of effort. We give a lot of importance to the college fest as students get to see and realise their hidden talents by participating in events.”
