Being raised in a family and educated in a school that never imposed any religious beliefs on me, faith was something I was happily confused about for years. So, I cannot rightly explain my faith orientation, and whether it is religious or spiritual to be specific. But recently there has been a change.

I have started to attend a spiritual workshop. It is the Shiv Yog Shivir of Avadhoot Baba Shivanand. Shiv Yog means ‘Union with the Infinite’. It says that all the powers of the world reside in us, and we ourselves are the divine consciousness; we are the ultimate bliss and the reason why we have been incarnated as human beings is to experience that bliss through our bodies. The Shivir encourages you to watch yourself. It makes you realise that you are part of the divine.
