The Navoothan Charitable Foundation (NCF) headed by Elizabeth Antony has taken upon itself to help economically weaker, underprivileged widows and war widows of the society.
Apart from vocational empowerment, the NCF has also taken up the cause of early detection, prevention and awareness of cancer.
Every year, on Christmas, the NCF team spends a day with the kids at the paediatric ward in the RCC, with its own choir singing carols. “We also bring a gift for every child there,” says Elizabeth Antony.
This Christmas, the NCF made a donation of Rs. 2,50,000 to the RCC. The foundation also conducts free cancer camps from time to time. A fully sponsored follow up is offered for those detected with symptoms. NCF also takes care of the treatment.
The funds for the initiative are generated completely through NCF's projects and through the sale of paintings by Elizabeth Antony.
