“Anyone who believes that anything is suitable to everyone is a fool because medicine is practiced not on mankind in general, but on individuals in particular.”
This and many other nuggets of wisdom, and not just theory, come your way in Drishti 2012, the Ayur expo organised by the Government Ayurvedic College, Tripunithara.
The expo showcass various treatment methods and rare visuals. About 350 medicinal plants and 100 rare drugs, equipment for the manufacture of medicines, manuscripts of ancient periods and drugs of mineral origin are some eye-catching exhibits on display.
The stalls displaying charts and graphics on recent issues are both educative and entertaining.
“The exhibition didn’t happen all of a sudden but was the outcome of continuous efforts,” said Anna Rani, a second year student of the college. M e d i c i n a l herbs developed on the college premises are available at a reasonable rate.
This is the second time the college is organizing the ayurvedic exhibition after the the last one in 2007.
