Music has been an inevitable part of their life; they played good music and swayed their way into our hearts through heart-thumping music. Here, the music enthusiasts are back again and are sure to leave you head-banging and foot-tapping through their latest gig at JTPac today.
Jus’ Jamm is collaborating with musicians from some of the leading bands in Kerala — Kalinga, Wrenz United and The Illusion, taking the concept of Jus’ Jamm to a new dimension.
Brimming with creative juices, the band Jus’ Jamm comprises a group of veteran musicians — Eugene Isaacs, Peter Nolasco, Ajit N Babu and Pinson Corriea, Jayen Varma — who, with their own style and sound, have always enthralled music lovers.
The desire to get back to music and collaborate with older musicians made physician Ajit Babu be a part of Jus’ Jamn. A singer and songwriter from his medical college days in the 80’s, Ajit has performed for the band Goths Incorporated, and has also played on Doordarshan.
At the age of 13, jazz-blues guitarist Eugene Isaac used to listen to a lot of good music in and around Fort Kochi. The music teacher at Chinmaya School in Vaduthala, Eugene began to perform in the late 60’s and later joined Elite Aces band.
“Rock music has always fascinated me and through Elite Aces, I have played with Usha Uthup for a couple of years.” Eugene has performed with eminent singers in both Western and Eastern styles of music. He has also played in over 200 music albums.
One of the oldest and finest rock drummers of India, Pinson Correya at 62, started to beat the drums from the age of 16 and it was his cousin Emil Isaac who introduced him to the band Elite Aces. Pinson has played for carnatic and oriental music clubs and also had the privilege of playing for playback singers KJ Yesudas, Jayachandran, S Janaki, Vani Jayaram.
Pinson, who was also taking classes at some of the music clubs in Kochi said, “While Elite Aces was away from Kochi, the younger generation band 13 A.D came into the picture; and I joined them as a drummer and performed for various shows.”
Jus’ Jamm will play from the classics of rock and pop such as Eagles, Beatles and Clapton.
