Love is in the air. And, there is no better day to talk about love than Valentine’s Day. The young stars of Mollywood now get truckloads of fan mail and proposals but once upon a time, they too went after a girl or boy with stars in their eyes. Here, they talk about the future and the past of their love lives.
Love is important: Meera nandan, actress
There is no serious love affair in my life right now but I have most certainly felt an infatuation towards many people! But one thing I am very clear about is that I cannot marry a person without understanding or loving him. I am waiting for that man.
Career is first love: unni mukundan, actor
I look at girls and enjoy their beauty. But there has been no serious romance in my life till now. I prefer an arranged marriage with a simple girl. I would like her to be a teacher or dancer.
She should be a good friend, take care of me and understand me. I don't know if there will be a love affair in future, but as of now chances are remote. In my opinion, after 25, men give importance to their career.
Respect is love: archana kavi, actress
There has been no love so far but I would like to fall in love. I would like to marry a person like Joseph, the character in the film, 'Mummy and Me'. I hope to find a man like Abhishek Bachhan. My marriage will happen only after 5-6 years.
There is always the condition that I should quit the film field after marriage from the proposals I get. If a person does not respect my career then how will he respect me?
Love is not time-pass: Ann Augustine , actress
I don’t want to love a person as ‘time-pass’. If I love a person then I will marry him. I am waiting for that right person. Valentine’s Day, roses, beaches, everything is on my mind too. But marriage should be with the consent of my parents.
Llove is divine: Sreejith Vijay, actor
I loved one girl when I was studying in Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology, Vazhakulam near Muvattupuzha. I used to give her expensive gifts, especially on Valentine’s Day.
Often, I gave her money, when she said she had no money with her. Later she married someone else. I have so many girl friends now too but no ‘divine’ relationship with anybody. If I find a suitable girl, I will elope and marry her.
Love is not just attraction: bhama, actress
I studied up to plus two at Infant Jesus Bedhaly Convent girls school at Manarcadu. So, I didn’t get any opportunity to mingle with the boys. After I entered films, I got many proposals especially from the film world. I have felt attracted towards some people but they have not been to my full liking
My first and last love: Asif ALI, actor
I had a crush on a girl when I was studying in Thripunithura Rajasree Memmorial school. I was in 9th standard when I proclaimed my love to her but she didn’t answer. But when I was in the 10th standard, she started smiling and talking to me.
I prepared my love letters after discussing with my hostel friends. After plus two, the seriousness of our love waned. I remember telling I wanted to be a film star. She expressed doubts. Later she lost interest in me because I was jobless.
She got married and I attended her marriage. Sometimes, she sends a mail after watching my films. That is my first and last love.
