Shah Rukh Khan stole Sanjay Dutt’s thunder, literally, during a party hosted on Sunday night by the latter to celebrate the success of Agneepath. Sources at the do tell us that the superstar got into a heated argument with one-time friend Farah Khan’s husband Sirish Kunder.
Apparently, throughout the evening Kunder kept taking digs at SRK about the disastrous openings of Ra.One and Don 2. Unable to stand it for long, King Khan retaliated by slapping Kunder.
“Kunder kept rambling about something and made sure that he was always around SRK at the party. Shah Rukh tried to avoid the situation because he did not want to spoil his friends’ party. But Kunder refused to budge!” says an actress who witnessed the post-midnight fracas.
According to the guests present at the party, SRK was provoked to breaking point. Rumours are doing the rounds that both SRK and Sanju Baba ganged up against Kunder, but according to our sources, it was Dutt, the host, who intervened and calmed the situation. “It was around 3.30 am when a battered Kunder left the party. But SRK stayed on till 5.30 am,” says our source.
Farah has admitted that her friend-turned-foe SRK hit her husband. “It was Shah Rukh who always told me that physical abuse was the worst way to sort out a problem. Being the first to raise your hand means you have a personal or professional crisis going on in your life,” says Farah. When asked for his version, SRK has been telling the media that he just held Sirish’s hand and told him to behave himself. He denies hitting him.
