Opulence has a new definition

Opulence has a new definition

Maybe speed and luxury don’t quite do it for you. Maybe class and style lie in the eye of the beholder. Maybe, you just want something more. Maybe, just maybe, you want to fly.

Bentley’s new four-door coupé, the Continental Flying Spur Series 51, offers you just that - the experience of a lifetime.

Exclusively hand-built at the headquarters in Crewe, England, the car bedazzles with its stellar craftsmanship, distinctive design and of course, uncompromised performance.

After its launch at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, the British carmaker’s latest piece de résistance has been on whirlwind displays across India and the next pit stop is Coimbatore!

Car enthusiasts around the city are all set to witness the launch on September 5 and drool… just a bit?

“Contrary to popular opinion, there are more car-crazy aficionados in our city compared to Chennai or Bangalore! There’re always takers for high-end manufacturers like Bentley and Maybach because people know that they’re getting their money’s worth,” says A.B. Vikram, an entrepreneur.

The luxury sedan boasts of the limited edition Sapelli Pomelle veneer (which provides a naturally occurring quilted effect in the wood), a unique graphite-finished nine-spoke, 19-inch sports alloy wheel and twin wing badges positioned behind the front wheel arches.

Besides this, a range of ‘off the peg’ combinations and the state-of-the-art 30GB touchscreen infotainment system are sure to wow customers.

Alisha Abdullah, a Volkswagen racer comments, “The engine, the interior and overall décor stand out; it’s a sexy car that I would love to have in red. The handcrafted cabins, piping and binding, scatter cushions etc. add to the overwhelming feel of exuberance.”

But luxury cars are called so for a reason. Will Coimbatorians react to its launch positively? “Absolutely. Two-tier cities like Coimbatore, Madurai, etc. have a rich history of princes and zamindars, which has faded with time. But we’re sure that the modern-day maharajas will be interested in our saloon car for their practicality and handmade finesse. This launch initiative will ensure that the entire family gets a first-hand look of the vehicle’s splendor,” says Satya Bagla, head of Bentley India.

For those who can afford it, the Flying Spur’s blend of dynamic features and classy elegance presents an exciting driving experience, laced with refinement and comfort.

Abhimanyu Senthil, the proud owner of a BMW Z4 and an Audi TT, remarks, “German engineering at its predominant peak coupled with British sophistication — it’s a killer combination. I can’t wait!”
