Reportedly, John Abraham found his new love interest before breaking up with Bipasha Basu. This he did rather slyly, till the new woman in his life committed to him completely. We saw such a situation when Brad Pitt was two timing Jennifer Anniston with Angelina Jolie. Also, Jesse James and Kat Von D broke up because of another woman in this self confessed cheater’s life. This seems to be the trend amongst many couples these days. “There is no cruise control, no pilot in a relationship. You are the pilot of your plane,” says disc jockey Nikhil Chinapa.
“Betrayal of any kind is simply not done. Bitterness is left when the breakup is not done ethically,” says actor Ramesh Aravind, who insists on not commenting on Bipasha and John because whatever he knows is through reports.
Today’s woman is brave enough to take on any such battle. Actor Tilak says, “Today women are more ambitious and have their priorities sorted. They are strong and have the power within to accept reality and move on. They are independent in terms of emotional values as well. Especially Bipasha comes across as one such woman to us. Nobody can keep anybody on hold in today’s times.”
The question lies in men taking women for granted. Model Apoorva Vishwanathan says, “I personally think men do take women for granted. After a point, men get insecure and want to settle down. Like in John’s case he perhaps wanted somebody who completely gave into the relationship. In such things you expect integrity and John’s situation has proved to be very bitter.”
How does one make sure they don’t reach such a point? Many believe that one thing that can save a couple from reaching such a point in a relationship is trust. Ramesh says, “Trust is the super glue of anything in life. If this breaks, it is easy to break anything.”
For a few, they do favour John’s move like Actor Tilak, who says, “For example, in John and Bipasha’s case, they both are very talented and good looking people. They are in a field that has many attractions and there is room for distractions.”
