The background reverberates with music and it is evident that actress Radhika Pandit is in the middle of a shot.
“It’s been really hectic for the last couple of days,” she apologises, settling down for a quick chat. With a slew of releases coming up this year, Radhika is certainly one of the most sought after actresses in Sandalwood.
“I am really excited that I have four films releasing back to back this year,” she says.
“In fact, Alemari (with Yogesh) is all set to release by the end of the month and I am really looking forward to it. Apart from that I am shooting for Sagar, Addhuri and Breaking News,” she adds.

The buzz however is around the latest film she’s signed — Drama, directed by Yogesh Bhatt. The actress recently replaced Bhama as the lead in the film, opposite Yash.
Ask her if she’s aware of what went wrong and she says, “For me, the entire process began when I received a call from the director’s office asking me if I would be interested in playing the role. I heard the script and loved it, so I said yes. I would never let an opportunity to work with Yogesh Bhatt pass. And, I am unaware of what happened before I was roped in.”
Drama will see the pretty actress pair up with co-star Yash again, after their debut, Moggina Manasu.
“It feels great acting opposite Yash once more,” she reveals, adding, “We started our careers and learnt how to function in the industry together. We have even won awards together, so obviously, we share a great comfort level. Our pair was a huge hit when our first film came out and I am sure it will work well this time around too.”
While she does seem to be having her cake and eating it too, we quiz the actress if she has any regrets so far — a role she’s turned down perhaps, or a character she’d like to play? “I came into the industry with absolutely no dreams,” says Radhika.
“But one role that I’d love to play is a historic character — like Jodhaa of Jodhaa Akbar,” she says.
