My signature style is defined by the elimination of excess along with a mixture of supremely classic. I like traditional designs blending with the real fashion. It is absolutely important that one wears designs that suit their personality. My label is called Felix Bendish. My forte lies in creating hand embroideries and transferring this concept to accessories like fashion neckpieces, brooches, head bands, scarves, fabric/surface ornamentation clutches and bags. Apart from using only embroidery materials like crystals and beads, I experiment with materials like glass, fabrics, metal to create a new design feature. The hallmark of my design philosophy lies in not being afraid to experiment.

Most of my inspiration comes from nature and art. My latest venture would be embroidery clutches and bags. There is no usage of leather. Instead, that has been replaced by fabrics like suede and velvet. These evening clutches are made in couture embroideries. I love working on thematic ideas. The collection will be in a riot of neon colours blended perfectly with dramatic fashion sensibility. My last season collection was conceptualised from the rainforest and is called The Nest. The highlight of the collection was the gecko lizard brooch. I had used animal motifs in my entire collection of bags, neckpieces and scarves. I greatly admire the works of Iris Van Herpen. I have recently been shortlisted and nominated for Swarovski design awards 2012.
