Joshi flooded with offers

Despite the fact that Sharman Joshi has restricted himself to doing just a couple of good films a year, the actor, who has carefully chosen his roles, has not received his due. That is until 3 Idiots happened. The actor suddenly seems to be much sought after with filmmakers queuing up to sign him.
Sources say the actor is flooded with offers from new-age filmmakers who are quite popular these days. The actor is reported to be quite busy going through numerous scripts each day. A trade pundit also says, “Sharman can carve a niche for himself like Abhay Deol has.”
But what is really astonishing is that just when people thought the trend of signing multiple film deals was passé, the actor has been approached by a prominent production house to sign a three-film deal with them. While this may be a matter of great prestige for any actor, considering the hefty fee being offered, Sharman has clearly told the makers that he did not want to rush into signing the contract. He wants to first read the scripts for all three films before making a decision. Sharman has clearly told the producers that he’d rather do just one film at a time than commit himself to several and then realise that the other films don’t interest him much.
