The Kashmir Valley has seen a lot of violence and unrest over the last few months, following the killing of Burhan Wani. When Mehbooba Mufti, daughter of the former CM, (late) Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, took charge on April 4, 2016, everyone pinned their hopes on her. But unfortunately, the Valley continues to be on the boil and various elements — both external and internal, are contributing to the downward spiral of the state and adding to her woes. Will she be able to keep the mischievous elements under check and deliver strong governance? Ganesha predicts:
Turbulent times
Mehbooba Mufti assumed office on April 4, 2016. In the oath-taking ceremony chart, the Moon is placed in the constellation of Mars and afflicted by Ketu. This indicates heightened crisis and turbulent situations in the State.
Challenges In Maintaining Law and Order
Mufti’s Ascendant is in Rahu and the Lord of the 8th house Saturn, is retrograde and placed with Mars in the 6th house. These factors will constantly disrupt the peace and harmony of Kashmir. The state government would also face huge problems in maintaining law and order.
The Bright Aspects
Though there will be various challenges in Mehbooba’s path, some positive planetary factors will be working in her favour. The Lord of the 5th house Venus is placed with Sun in the 10th house which will allow her to tackle problems well, but only to an extent. Lord of the 10th house Jupiter is retrograde and afflicted strongly by Rahu. So, it will be a herculean task for her to restore normalcy in the Kashmir valley.
Unruly Neighbours
The 3rd house is severely afflicted which indicates frequent clashes with the neighboring countries, agitations and disruptions. Pakistan will continue to infiltrate the Valley and raise tensions. The period till September, 15, 2016 indicates tumultuous situations, terrorist attacks and untoward happenings as Sun’s transit in Leo, in conjunction with Rahu and the Solar eclipse on September 1, 2016 will remain unfavourable for Mufti. She will be able to exercise better control from mid September 2016.
Solar Chart Analysis and her Path Ahead:
Mufti’s Solar Chart shows the transiting Saturn aspecting the natal Sun and the transiting Rahu in square with the natal Sun. As she is passing through Sade Sati, the period till the end of April 2017 will be tough for her. The transit of Saturn through Sagittarius will create troubles on the administrative front, making it difficult for her to even complete full term as the Chief Minister.

Ganesha feels that Mufti has the potential to govern the valley state well, but she will have to be very calculative and controlled in her approach.
