The drink’s original price was around $20 but when the management at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut started noticing floored customers — they hiked up the cost — which floored patrons too. And do you want to know why it’s called the ‘Sapphire Martini’?

That’s because the drink is served with pair of sapphire and diamond earrings.

It’s served at the Ritz in Paris and was invented by Colin Peter Field - ranked by some of the world’s leading travel magazines as the best bartender in the world. The Ritz Sidecar is also one of the ‘oldest’ drinks on the planet — made of Cognac bottled between 1830 and 1870!

To top it all off, the liquid consists of Woodford Reserve bourbon and Moroccan mint.

Finally, a drink with an actual diamond inside it. The good folks at London’s Sheraton Park Hotel have made the recipe pretty generous too. The drink consists of a rich blend of individual cognacs costing $1,000 per bottle.

Also, customers have choice on the kind of stone they would like in their drink — it could even be a ruby. Just be careful taking that swig!

Dubbed the world’s most expensive drink. The Gigi is a London restaurant’s ode to Bond girl and singer Grace Jones. She was seen alongside the British spy (Roger Moore at the time) in A View to a Kill. She even attended the drink’s launch two years ago. According to the makers, Gigi’s at Mayfair, the drink is a contemporary take on the lavish drinks preferred by Mayfair’s wealthiest. The drink uses “a 1990 vintage Cristal and 1888 Samalens Vieille Relique Vintage Bas Armagnac brandy”.
