Watch: Rafael Nadal stops match to help mother find child

Tennis legends like Carlos Moya and John McEnroe were also present, when this happened.

Mumbai: Rafael Nadal may not have won a grand slam for the last couple of years, but he is still a much loved figure among the tennis fraternity.

The Spaniard, who is also known as the King of Clay, showed us all his softer side, when he paused a game of tennis, so that a mother (in the 7,000-strong crowd) could find her child.

Tennis legends like Carlos Moya and John McEnroe were also present, when this happened. While McEnroe and Moya had teamed-up together, Nadal was playing alongside 17-year-old upcoming tennis starlet Simon Solbas.

A little commotion started in the crowd, as the mother began looking for her daughter. Seeing this, Nadal stopped his serve, to help all the other audience look for the child. The toddler was finally found and reunited with her tearful mother a few minutes later, as the crowd broke into rapturous applause.
